My Blue and White Travel-Themed Wedding

As promised, here is my official post on the wedding! All of the photos in this post were taken by Wesley and Calista Chandler. Our wedding colours were picked by Mike - royal blue and white! The ladies looked amazing in the dresses they chose for themselves, and the men were looking particularly handsome (especially my hubby hehe).

Everyone was dressed up for the occasion, so of course Derry put on his best suit to fulfill his duties as the ringbearer. It was amazing to see my months of preparation come together for the special day! Mike helped me with the escort board, complete with luggage tags naming each of the guests - tables were named by major cities around the world where Mike and I have been or wish to go. These table names were also on our wedding centerpieces, the air balloons I posted about making here. In lieu of seating cards, I folded a crane for each guest so they could easily find their seat.

On the gift table, we had the refurbished suitcase I made a few months prior to hold the cards. Instead of a traditional guest book, we had a different question at each table, and the guests were encouraged to move around and fill them out. Our cupcake tower was amazing, thanks to Candice of Love Your Cake.

Our caterer, Savoury Chef, helped make the day run so smoothly, and the food was delicious!

Our lessons with Joel absolutely paid off for our first dance. Not going to lie, it was pretty difficult to move as quickly in the long wedding dress, but it was a lot of fun regardless! Our first month of marriage has been amazing, and I am looking forward to exploring life's many adventures hand-in-hand with my soul mate. I love you, Mike!

  1. cicy!
omg your DIYs are spectacular! i can really tell you've put a lot of hard work into the preparation and it really pays off!
    beautiful decors, lovely theme :)

  2. Hello,
The centerpiece hotair balloon is really cute. Can you please let me know where you bought those wood bucket/pint?

  3. Hi there,

The wood buckets are actually just from the dollar store. You can also probably find alternative options at a plant store (with pails or baskets). Hope that helps!

  4. Oh, i didnt realize you responded to my question already. Thank you for taking the time. I appreciate it. I will try to look. Again, very creative idea.
