Yesterday’s #604photowalk had plenty of familiar faces, and a few new faces, including this adorable black lab, Cheddar, and his person, Tammy (@teachingtammy). This time, we wandered around my side of town at the University of British Columbia. Here are some snapshots from the afternoon.

Went to the Fred Herzog exhibit yesterday with some others from #604photowalk that didn’t get a chance to see the gallery last time (and some that were going again). In honour of Saint Patrick’s Day, I am trying my hand at selective colouring… love all the green outfits around Gastown!
There was also this guy perched on a statue playing the accordion having a battle of words with the security guards. We didn’t stay long enough to see what happened, but the music was great!
We wound up around Granville Street, where Tony intimidated the group of pigeons into flying away. Hopefully they won’t poop on us next time as revenge!
Hung out with the #604photowalk crew today, there was quite the turn-out… 15 or so showed up to check out the Fred Herzog Exhibit at the Equinox Project Space (which unfortunately I missed because I was late!). Above is Tianna hanging outside one of the colourful buildings along Main Street.
Among the many hipsters we met along the way, there was this adorable fella waiting for his owner to return. He’s hardcore, man… just check out that gun he’s got at the back of his trailer…
Last, but not least, the classy Thomas showin’ off his swagger. He is super cool and not weird at all.
So like I said in my last post, a group of us woke up early on Sunday morning for another #604photowalk, since AJ (@GluttonwithaCam) was back from travelling. Also present were the originals: Irving (@irvlau), Brian (@bdshaler), Tony (@Dangerphoto) and newcomers: Henry (@henryjue), Thomas (@tmasoo), Karin (@kkwkam), Nhi (@NoyoPhoto) and Diane (@_deelo).
I decided to focus on portrait shots for the day, so thank you to my models (for being patient while I fumble with my aperture settings as the rest of the group stops and stares at me… no pressure or anything)! I kid… if you’re an amateur like me and you come along sometime (which you definitely should do), we won’t embarass you (too much).
I should have gotten a closer picture of Diane’s awesome ring. It’s a camera… like a spycam! But not really. Nonetheless, very appropriate for our little photowalk.
I think this photo was my favourite shot of the day. I love how absolutely thrilled Karin looks, and the way Henry is awkwardly peeking out from behind the fourth pillar. Anyway, if you’re interested in joining us for a photowalk, follow the hashtag #604photowalk on twitter and come out next time! There will likely be another one later in February.
I almost shouldn’t post these pictures. Almost. But I just can’t keep them to myself. That would be selfish. So here they are. Today, a whole group of us woke up early on a Sunday morning to walk around downtown and take photos. AT 9AM! Can you believe it? I was awake before 9am on a weekend!

Brian (@bdshaler) is such a supermodel… your wifey must be so proud.
And this is what Henry (@henryjue) believes is his attractive face.
CRAZYDOGOMGCRAZYDOG.

Haha, this one is to make up for the derp pictures AJ (@GluttonwithaCam) always takes of me. Seriously though, I will post the nice pictures from today… eventually.
